What LocumCare is
LocumCare is an Ontario online marketplace that connects patients and care homes who need on-demand healthcare staffing with independent healthcare workers. LocumCare is a technology platform. It does not provide healthcare services, employ healthcare workers, or manage care. Care is delivered by independent professionals who use the LocumCare platform to find work.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract under Canadian law to use LocumCare. Workers must hold any required licensure for the role they offer.
Worker relationship
Healthcare workers using LocumCare are independent contractors. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of LocumCare. LocumCare does not direct or control the manner in which care is delivered.
Payments
The poster pays LocumCare for a shift or booking; LocumCare pays the worker on a regular schedule through Stripe Connect. Stripe holds the financial details. Fees and platform charges are disclosed at the time of booking.
